2018 The 1st CubeSat and Mission Contest

During the period from March 1 to April 23, 2018, the 1st CubeSat and Mission Contest (Domestic Session) was hosted by The Belt and Road Aerospace Innovation Alliance (BRAIA). It was co-organized by International Astronautical Federation (IAF), Chinese Society of Astronautics (CSA), and Chinese Institute of Command and Control (CICC). The final took place at Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU), China, on April 23. 10 teams from Northwestern Polytechnical University, Beihang University, Harbin Institute of Technology, Nanjing University of Science and Technology, National University of Defense Technology, and Xi’an Jiaotong University advanced to the final after an online competition. With a skillful design, the products obtained fruitful results. In the meanwhile, the judges offered their suggestions and evaluations.

The international session received nearly 30 works by the teams from 10 countries, including Australia, Bangladesh, China, Germany, Greece, Indonesia, Israel, Malaysia, South Africa and Sweden. A total of 12 teams were selected for the final, which was held at NPU. At the end of this competition, a team from Sweden named “Fly Over Atlas” won the first prize.
