The Belt and Road Aerospace Innovation Alliance Working Seminar” was held in Taicang, Jiangsu Province during May 23-25, 2018. Over 50 delegates from 30 BRAIA member universities and organizations attended this event.
To facilitate the development of university alliance, “Belt and Road Aerospace Innovation Alliance Working Seminar” was held in Taicang, Jiangsu Province during May 23-25, 2018. Over 50 delegates from 30 BRAIA member universities and organizations attended the seminar and proposed their suggestions on BRAIAs' development.
Mr. Xu Chaozhen, vice mayor of Taicang Municipal Government, attended the seminar and delivered a welcome speech. He said that BRAIA Working Seminar was a good opportunity to attract both domestic and international educational and scientific resources for Taicang. Prof. Zhang Weihong, vice president of Northwestern Polytechnical University, illustrated NPU’s strategic cooperation with Jiangsu Province in his speech. Mr. Wang Yiran, secretary-general of Chinese Society of Astronautics expressed his expectation and demand on the development of BRAIA.
Prof. Zhang Fuli, Deputy Director of NPU Office of International Cooperation and leader of the Permanent Secretariat of BRAIA, reviewed major events hosted by BRAIA since its establishment. Mr. Kozorez Dmitriy, Vice Rector of Moscow Aviation Institute, Mr. Claudio Feijoo, Rector’s Delegate for Asia of Polytechnic University of Madrid, and Mr. Mikhail Ivanov, Deputy Director of International Department of Bauman Moscow State Technical University introduced their experience on international cooperation respectively.
In the seminar, BRAIA presented the cooperative proposal with the international organization. And more suggestions on topics of BRAIA membership, BRAIA Decision-making, and BRAIA Communication were proposed in the group sessions from the perspective of member universities.
Delegates from BRAIA members expressed their willingness to participate actively in the growth of BRAIA and undertake BRAIA events in the future. Student exchange and scientific cooperation were also discussed and promoted among BRAIA members.
