On December 14th, 2021, on behalf of Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU) and Belt and Road Aerospace Innovation Alliance (BRAIA), President Prof. Wang Jinsong was invited to attend the Seventh International Conference on Aerospace Science and Engineering in Pakistan and delivered a speech online in the opening ceremony. The conference lasted three days, which was hosted by Institute of Space Technology, Pakistan and jointly supported by Pakistan Government, Pakistan Higher Education Committee, Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and BRAIA both online and on-site. The conference hosted more than 70 keynote speakers from over 20 countries and 60 parallel sessions including 25 technical sessions with the 100 oral paper presentations.

This conference aroused both Chinese and Pakistani media's interest in China-Pakistan space cooperation.  On December 31, 2021, both China Economic Net and Gwadar Pro, a Pakistani media made a report, according to an interview with leaders of NPU Office of International Cooperation, on the conference, aerospace development in Pakistan, NPU and BRAIA's cooperation with Pakistani universities in the field of aerospace in talent cultivation and scientific research.
