On October 29, 2021 Silk Road International Symposium on the Cooperation and Integration of Industry, Education, Research and Application of Aeronautics and Astronautics was held in Northwestern Polytechnical University(NPU), Xi'an, China.This Symposium has attracted around 200 participants from universities, enterprises, research institutes in 22 countries including China, Russia, Ukraine, Italy, the UK, Singapore, Pakistan,etc.
Mr. Cao Yan, Senior Counsel of Education Department of Shaanxi Provincial Government and Prof. Zhang Yanning, Assitant to President of Northwestern Polytechnical University delivered welcome speeches. Scholars and experts from Xidian University,Shaanxi Society of Aeronautics and Astronautics,AVIC Xi'an Flight Automatic Control Research Institute,Xi'an ASN Technology Group Co., Ltd., Chinaand representatives of International Joint Supervisors attended the symposium, which was presided by Prof. Zhang Fuli, Director of Office of International Cooperation& Dean of International College, NPU.
Prof. Zhang Yanning introduced NPU’s characteristics and advantages as well as achievements in talent cultivation, scientific research and international cooperation. She said that this symposium would gather wisdom from various countries to promote the outcome of industry-education-research-application integration with joint efforts.
Mr. Cao Yan pointed out that this symposium further has innovated the high-level talent cultivation mechanism with establishing a good platform to foster cooperation and integration fruits for organizations along the Silk Road in the fields of aerospace. By exerting Shaanxi's geographical and resource advantage in the aerospace industry, Xi'an will fully exploit its potential in creating a technology innovation center.
An appointment ceremony was held to award representatives of international joint super visors who have been devoted to promoting globalized talent cultivation.
Exploring new cooperation is essential to push forward scientific innovation and create a win-win momentum in northwestern China. Academicians and scholars from universities and research institutes presented cutting-edge academic reports and experts from enterprises shared industry prospects. Around 20 academicians, professors and experts delivered reports in various disciplines,sharing their opinionsonline and on site.
This symposium is guided by the Ministry of Education ofPRCand the People's Government of Shaanxi Province, hosted by National Centre for Schooling Development Programmeand organized by Northwestern Polytechnical University (Belt and Road Space Innovation Alliance) and other organizations.
