2018 The 1st China Microsatellite Symposium and CubeSat and Mission Contest (International Session) was held by Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU) and BRAIA from November 18 through 20, 2018. Nearly 400 experts and scholars from more than 20 countries participated in the symposium and shared their views on micro-satellite technology and related applications. Comprising an Academic Forum, Exhibition and CubeSat and Mission Contest, the symposium was an important attempt to promote cooperation among universities, research institutions, and enterprises in the field of aerospace, focusing especially on micro-satellite technology and applications. The exchange of ideas in discussions inspired valuable thoughts of developing micro-satellite at home and abroad. The “International Students CubeSat Deep Space Exploration” initiated by NPU was also introduced in this conference. 10 to 20 CubeSats in 6U and 12U will be launched within the framework of this initiative. It will lead universities and institutions around the world to further explore the deep space and also help students and young scholars to realize their dream of discovering the universe.
